- The Auburn High School Media Center Book Fair held at Barnes and Noble on Thursday, March 12, and Friday, March 13 was a great success. The community support was fabulous. Many students, faculty, and parents enjoyed the activities presented on both days. Many of the high school students participated in events, such as teaching others how to fold Origami, reading books to children during story time, and singing in the Jazz Choir performances. Without the AHS student volunteers, the book fair would not have been possible. A special thanks goes out to Mr. Pietrello, Ms. Bailey, Mr. Jim Adams, and Ms. Halsdorff for their participation in the event. The proceeds from the event will benefit the Auburn High School Media Center.
- This upcoming Tuesday, the Community Outreach Committee, along with the Student Council and the National Honor Society, will host an egg hunt for the local children. The event will run on April 7, 2009 from 3:30 to 5:30. The Easter Bunny may even make a surprise appearance! Additionally, children will be able to participate in many Easter-related crafts. This is a free event, generously supported by Student Council and National Honor Society students.
